Tonya Bradley joined the ACLU of Texas in 2018. She has served as the development assistant, development operations associate, and special projects strategist before moving into her current role as the strategic planning and project manager. She functions as the main operator for strategic planning and is responsible for managing tactical and strategic projects, with a focus on quality assurance and the implementation of highly visible, sensitive, and multi-faceted projects.
Before joining the ACLU of Texas, Tonya served in development roles at Covenant House Texas and Ronald McDonald House Houston, as well as a paralegal in municipal government, healthcare, and the oil and gas industry. She has run a private marketing and communications business, serves as vice president of the board for HYPE Freedom School, Inc., is a distance running coach, and contributes her time as a public health educator.
Tonya earned a B.S. in public affairs with a minor in pre-law from Texas Southern University and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in healthcare from Marist College, where she received the School of Management’s highest honor. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in African American Studies from the University of Houston.
Tonya is passionate about racial equity, womanism, and eradicating health disparities through public health education and policy. She is an ultramarathoner and enjoys taking runcations around the world.
