Texans of different races, ages, and genders are coming together through the Texas Abortion Advocacy Network (TAAN) to restore and expand abortion access for everybody in our state.

  • Get trained through the TAAN Academy, an expert-led online course designed to equip Texans with the tools to advocate in our communities.

  • Make local change by advocating at city council meetings, educating our peers, and more.

  • Contribute to a statewide network of advocates working together to advance abortion access in Texas.

TAAN Academy

A majority of Texans support the right to an abortion. Yet, state politicians have banned abortion in Texas and are now trying to restrict people from traveling out-of-state to seek the care we need.

That’s why Texans of different races, ages, and genders are joining the Texas Abortion Advocacy Network Academy to learn from experts, build community with other Texans, and work together to restore and expand abortion access. Together, we can reclaim our freedom to make personal decisions about our bodies and our futures.

This 10-week virtual training experience — taught by reproductive rights, health, and justice leaders — will give you the tools and relationships you need to be a leader in your community.

TAAN in Action

TAAN helps communities advocating for reproductive justice build a strong, united network.

TAAN members are actively organizing against local abortion travel bans, mobilizing their communities in support of abortion access, and volunteering with abortion funds across Texas. TAAN members also distribute reproductive health kits to those in need and start conversations with city and county governments about alleviating the current health care crisis caused by Texas’ total abortion ban.

Through these efforts, TAAN fosters collaboration and empowers advocates to make a tangible impact. There is a role for all of us to play — get engaged!
