AUSTIN - The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Texas, along with co-counsel from Jackson Walker LLP, have filed a brief in support of elementary school plaintiffs who claim their First Amendment right to free expression of their Christian religious belief was denied by Plano school officials.
The children, who are represented by Liberty Legal Institute, were prevented from putting religious holiday messages in gift bags they gave to classmates during school parties.
