HOUSTON – To clarify recent changes to the Texas Voter ID law, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Texas has launched a “Let Me Vote” campaign to help educate Texas citizens on their voting rights.
In addition to distributing and sharing overviews of what individuals need to cast a vote when they go to the polls, the organization is launching an Election Protection Hotline and hosting a Telephone Town Hall on which experts from the ACLU and Mi Familia Vota will answer questions live.
The Voting Rights Telephone Town Hall will take place the evening of the first day of early voting.

During early voting and on Election Day, voters will also be able to report any voter suppression incidents to legal experts through the ACLU of Texas Election Protection Hotline.
