Rebecca Krasne is a third-generation El Pasoan and fourth-generation Texan who received her bachelor's degree in visual communications from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990. As a passionate advocate for El Paso and its progress, and believing wholeheartedly in her deeply-rooted family’s commitment to giving back to the greater community, Rebecca returned to her home town after living in Santa Fe, N.M. post-graduation. She has since served on and led numerous arts, social service/social justice, and health care boards in El Paso: El Paso Museum of Art Foundation, YWCA El Paso del Norte, YWCA of El Paso Foundation, The Hospitals of Providence, UTEP’s Rubin Center for Contemporary Art, El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center, and Creative Kids/oLo Gallery. Cooking alongside her husband, Alan, food and wine, friends, travel, design, contemporary art, and impacting people are what inspire her.
