Charles Horak is an architect, developer, and vice president of Horak Companies, Inc. Through his numerous development companies, Charles has managed real estate financing, design, construction, and property management for clients in the retail, industrial, postal, medical, service, and government-use sectors.
Horak has varied personal interests and has been actively involved in numerous arts projects and organizations, including the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, the Border Arts Residency, the El Paso Museum of Art, El Paso Film Festival, Femme Frontera, and the Texas Archive of the Moving Image. He is the host of the long-running radio program, "On Film" (NPR-El Paso), as well as a film critic and voting member of the Critics Choice Association.
In 2016, Charles built the film collective Rio Bravo Outpost, which specializes in film production and post-production work in West Texas, where he consults on numerous film projects and has produced several successful films.
