Tommy Buser-Clancy joined the ACLU of Texas in 2018 as a staff attorney. Prior to joining the ACLU, Tommy was a commercial litigator in private practice, managing a diverse docket in state and federal courts across the country. Tommy’s significant experiences in representing pro bono clients inspired him to leave private practice and join the ACLU.
Tommy grew up in Texas and is proud to be defending the civil liberties of Texans, especially those in marginalized communities.
Tommy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Plan II, Russian, and English. He received his J.D. from the Yale Law School.
